Congratulations are in order for Irish TV presenter Síle Seoige today – she has just become a mother for the first time!
Síle and her partner, Damian O’Farrell, are now the proud parents of a baby boy named Cathal.
The delighted new mum took to Instagram to announce the wonderful news, sharing a photo of her newborn baby boy’s hand wrapped around her finger.
“Feeling incredibly lucky, thankful and so, so happy!” wrote the 38-year-old.
“Our baby boy arrived safe and sound in the early hours of the 2nd of August, and we’re in love.
“Thanks so much for all the messages…a lot of you had a feeling something was stirring.”
According to the beautiful photo, baby Cathal tipped the scales at 8 lbs 2oz.
Naturally, Síle’s Instagram has blown up with beautiful messages of love and congratulations.
“I’m so delighted for you both! Such great news!” wrote one follower, while others admired the couple’s traditional choice of name.
Another joked: “Congrats! That 100 percent raspberry leaf tea must have done the trick. Enjoy – no feeling like it!”
