Attending a Bruce Springsteen concert is a big deal in anyone's language, getting the attention of The Boss is even bigger, but having the man himself write you a note for school?! Well, that's just on another scale as one little boy from L.A discovered last week!

Xabi Glovsky, who decided to take his chances while attending a Bruce Springsteen concert in the Los Angeles Sports Arena last Tuesday night, got the attention of the Born in the USA singer after holding up a sign which read: "Bruce, I will be late to school tomorrow please sign my note."

Spotting Xabi in the crowd, Bruce invited the nine-year-old and his dad Scott backstage after the show to fulfil little Xabi's request in a move which has delighted social media users in recent days.

Putting pen to paper, the world-famous performer explained that his young fan had a very important reason for his delay in getting to school, writing: "Dear Ms. Jackson, Xabi has been out very late rocking & rolling. Please excuse him if he is tardy."

Overjoyed that his little boy met The Boss, Scott took to Twitter to express his excitement and told KTLA 5: "I though the chances that we would get an autograph from it, that he would sign it, would ... probably be one in a thousand."

"I didn’t imagine, in my wildest dreams, that we could actually meet him and go backstage," Scott gushed while revealing that the staff at Xabi's school were wholly impressed by the brief note, saying: "They said it was like, the best tardy note of all time.”

How lucky is Xabi?!
