Hollywood A-List actor she may be, but Jamie Lee Curtis feels right at home in little old Ireland.

 

Not only that, but she reckons "Irish people are maybe the warmest people you'll ever meet in the world".

 

How sweet.

 

The 59-year-old is in Dublin to promote her return to the Halloween film franchise when she opened up about her love for the country.

 

She said, "I love Ireland! I actually lived here with John Boorman in Wicklow when we made The Tailor of Panama here.''

 

 

She went on to say that  the Emerald Isle holds a special place in her heart as she feels a "really deep sense of love and affection" when she's here.

 

She says, "I've always felt that way here and I'm just so happy to be here."

 

"It does feel very much like coming home. Irish people are maybe the warmest people you'll ever meet in the world."

 

Jamie Lee is promoting her latest Halloween offering, which will eb the final instalment in the franchise.

 

Her character Laurie Strode faces a terrifying showdown when serial killer Michael Myers, four decades after that first fateful Halloween night in 1978.

 

 

When it comes to how the Irish feel about Jamie Lee, they made it clear on social media that they are big fans.

 

One wrote, ''any chance #Jamieleecurtis would run for President...either the U.S or Ireland maybe BOTH.''

 

While another gushed, ''dear god...I love @jamieleecurtis so much! Welcome to Ireland.''
