Lisa Armstrong has been married to Ant McPartlin for 11 years, and people are STILL questioning her reasons for not changing her surname after her wedding.
Yup, even in this day and age when it is perfectly acceptable and normal, might we add, to not take your husband's surname, the 41-year-old was forced to explain why she chose to stay as Armstrong.
In a direct tweet to Ant on Twitter, one curious (or should we say, rude) person decided to question why his wife has a different surname.
Answer one question ant why don't your wife as you surname I thought when a person gets married the wife take on the husband surname

"Answer one question ant why don't your wife as you surname I thought when a person gets married the wife take on the husband surname, [sic]" they asked.
However, Lisa was not going to just brush the question under the carpet.
Taking to Twitter herself, the make-up artist replied in epic fashion:
It's called being a women with your own career David. https://t.co/7RkHzcFn9G

Thankfully, David seems to be alone in his thinking, as many were quick to put him in his place!

We are not cattle to be branded.
I’m not sure what offends me most. The outdated sexist comment or the or the grammar in which it was written!
