It certainly has been a good weekend for baby news; first, with Coronation Street star Paula Lane announcing that she is expecting for the second time, and now with Loose Women star and ex-singer Coleen Nolan becoming a grandmother.
Coleen is celebrating today after her eldest son, Shane Jr., welcomed his first child with former partner Emma Kivell. The pair welcomed a daughter, Amelia Rose, earlier this week.
Brimming with excitement, Coleen told the Mirror that the past few days since Amelia Rose’s birth have been ‘surreal’.
“She is absolutely stunning…She has a mop of black hair and she’s a mix of her mummy and daddy. She has Shane’s eyes and nose, and her mum’s lips and cheeks. She’s gorgeous,” she said.
Now a doting grandmother, the columnist added: "The moment Shane held her was so emotional, and I really got what the big deal is about becoming a grandparent.”
Proud new mum Emma took to Instagram to show off her beautiful new tot, and shared a lovely shot of proud granny Coleen holding her very first grandchild.
Congratulations to the entire family on the arrival of their little one.
