As much as we might try to fight it, our children are almost too good at replicating our habits and behaviour. This usually comes to the fore when someone is getting told off – and sometimes it’s not the adult who’s dishing out the punishment!
This has been illustrated in the best way ever this week, in the form of a note written by a little boy named Owen who is ‘mad’ at his mother.
The note, shared to social networking site Reddit by user ‘Leability’, came with the caption: “My cousin got her mommy privileges revoked for tonight.”
The laugh-out-loud note read:
“Mommy,
Don’t come read with me. I am mad at you. And I will tuck my own self in.
Senserly, Owen”
We don’t know who to feel more sorry for – the clearly disgruntled Owen, or his poor mother!
As you can imagine, the Reddit community went crazy for the post, which has now gone viral.
“I legitimately expect a note like this in my future. My pre-schooler punishes me when I’ve been a ‘bad mummy’ by putting himself to bed,” replied one highly amused Redditor.
