Megan is back: Abigail Spencer reveals she is returning to Greys Anatomy

We’ve said our fair share of goodbyes to some of Grey’s Anatomy’s best characters. Derek Shepherd, Cristina Yang, Mark Sloan, Lexie Grey, Arizona Robbins and April Kepner are amongst some of the biggest (and greatest) characters we’ve bid farewell to since the show began.

It feels like we lose major characters every season, so it’s safe to say we were thrilled to hear that Abigail Spencer was returning to the show.

The actress starred as Owen Hunt’s long-lost sister in 2017. She quickly won fans over during her appearance on the show so we’re thrilled to hear that she will be returning for one episode in season 15.

E! News confirmed that Abigail will reprise her role as Megan in an upcoming episode of the medical series.

Abigail took to Instagram to share a photo from the set of Grey’s Anatomy. She captioned the selfie: ‘Red hair. Super care. Megan Hunt is baaaaack.’

Fans were overjoyed to see the actress return to the beloved drama series.

“Will be nice to see Megan again. Maybe knock some sense into her brother Owen,” one wrote.

Another said: “I love you in this role.”

The biggest question on fans’ lips was whether or not Megan’s on-screen love Nathan Riggs would return alongside her.

So many fans asked Abigail if Nathan was returning too, however, the actress didn’t respond.

When we last saw Megan and Nathan they were happily living in Los Angeles after being separated for years.

We are so excited for Abigail to continue Megan’s story, here’s hoping she’ll bring her beau Nathan back to Grey Sloan too.
