The September issue of British Vogue was incredibly special thanks to guest editor Meghan Markle. The Duchess of Sussex added a warmth to the fashion magazine that it often lacks. Amongst the adverts for Prada and Gucci was the mum’s touching guest editor’s letter which proved just how passionate and empowering Meghan really is. The letter also revealed that Meghan is quite the talented writer.
The mum revealed she bonded with editor-in-chief Edward Enninful over their love of writing so it’ll come as no surprise to hear Meghan is working on another writing project.
According to reports, the former Suits star is set to pen a children’s book, just like her father-in-law Prince Charles.
The Sunday Times claimed Meghan is working on a children’s book inspired by the dogs she shares with husband Harry.
The publication said, “The Duchess is reported to be considering an endearing tale inspired by her own dogs.”
Meghan shares two dogs with the Duke of Sussex- a rescue beagle named Guy and a Labrador retriever, whose name has yet to be revealed.
The Duchess is certainly getting back into the swing of working life after welcoming her son Archie in the early summer. The mum’s maternity leave is coming to an end so she's got plenty of projects in the pipeline.
Following her stint at British Vogue, the Duchess revealed she was releasing a clothing collection in honour of charity Smart Works.
The nationwide charity helps unemployed and vulnerable women to find their way back into the workplace. Meghan will collaborate with Marks and Spencer, John Lewis and Partners, Jigsaw and close friend Misha Nonoo to create a collection of workwear.
The collection will apparently launch later in the year, and will sell on a one-for-one basis. Meghan wrote during her takeover of British Vogue's September issue that; "For each item purchased by a customer, one is donated to charity. "Not only does this allow us to be part of each other's story, it reminds us we are in it together."
Meghan is certainly working on some of the most meaningful and inspiring projects at the moment. We cannot wait to see what she does next.
