Model Mara Martin made huge strides for mums everywhere during an open casting call.
The young mum turned the judges head during Miami Swim Week with a new runway accessory: her five-month-old Aria.
Mara boldly strut down the runway while breastfeeding her daughter. Her gold bikini was slipped over one shoulder for her little one.
Mara commented, "it is truly so humbling and unreal to say the least. I’m so grateful to be able to share this message and hopefully normalize breastfeeding and also show others that women CAN DO IT ALL!"
Talk about a statement! We are loving her fierce, nonchalant attitude.
Models have constantly been put under pressure by the fashion and film industries to be underweight, unhealthy, and hypersexualized.
Recently, women have made progress in opposing these unrealistic standards. Just last year in the fashion capital of Europe, France passed a law requiring models have a medical certificate guaranteeing they are of a healthy weight.
Furthermore, debates have taken place online around the world about the hypocrisy of praising scandalously clad women with cleavage while simultaneously shaming women who breastfeed their children in public.
Mothers show their support after a woman says she was shamed by a California Pizza Kitchen manager for #breastfeeding at the restaurant.

But mums are not having any of it! They are standing up for themselves and each other more and more.
Mara has taken another step for women, bridging the gap between models and mums. She reminds the judges that breastfeeding is a natural part of motherhood.
Sports Illustrated chose this confident mama to be one of their 16 finalists! Mara placed headphones over Aria’s little ears to block out the loud music as well.
Well, Mara, thank you for showing the fashion industry how stunning motherhood is! Mums can be nurturing and sexy; it is time to change the old-fashioned stigma.
