While it’s always been assumed Blue Ivy Carter might want to follow her famous parents into the world of show business, it seems she’s a lot more interested in rapping like dad Jay-Z than belting out ballads like Beyoncé.

The famous five-year-old proved she’s got bars as she performed an amazing freestyle rap on a track from Jay-Z’s new album.

The bonus track called Blue’s Freestyle/We Family features Blue Ivy giving Nicki Minaj a run for her money as she delivers a confident and spirited rap.

Blue boasts that she’s “never seen a ceiling in her whole life” and chants “boom shakalaka” with the vigour of a seasoned rapper.

When we were her age we were still learning the alphabet, not slaying it in the recording booth!

Have a listen – we are so impressed!

But it’s not Blue’s first brush with stardom, the little girl was featured on Jay-Z’s 2012 track Glory making baby sounds in the background and she also made a cameo in the video for Beyoncé’s acclaimed song Formation.

Twitter users were stunned by Blue’s incredible rap when a sample of the audio was posted on Twitter.

“I’m not even sure what she is saying but Blue Ivy’s lyrics got me shook. I wasn’t ready,” one fan wrote.

"Blue Ivy ended both her parents and all the female rappers in 40 seconds,” another tweeted.

While another dramatically announced: “Blue Ivy Carter is the queen of rap. Who is Jay-Z? Who is Beyoncé? The industry is cancelled."

The new album 4:44 has also got people talking for another reason – Jay-Z appears to allude to his alleged infidelities and the infamous elevator fight between him and Beyoncé’s sister Solange Knowles on a song called Kill Jay-Z.

It’s been an incredible month for the rapper and his superstar wife after Beyoncé gave birth to the couple’s twins on June 12.

After much speculation, Beyoncé’s dad Matthew Knowles revealed the good news that the twins had arrived on Twitter.

Beyoncé has yet to formally announce their arrival and hasn’t shared any photos of them on her social media so far.

After initial reports that the twins had been called Shawn and Bea, it was revealed that the proud parents had actually chosen the more unusual names of Sir and Rumi Carter.

We wonder if the twins, rumoured to be a boy and a girl, will make a foray into the world of music in the future.

Who knows, they could even form a three-piece with their big sister… now that would be amazing!
