Netflix never fail to disappoint with their monthly movie additions, and August is no different. The streaming service is introducing a huge variety of movies and TV shows this coming month and we’re so excited about three in particular.
The Secret Life of Pets (Arrives August 22, 2018)
This movie has become a firm family favourite in households all around the world. The hilarious animation follows the quiet life of a terrier named Max. His world is flipped upside down when his owner brings home a stray dog Duke.
The duo have no choice but to work together when they discover evil bunny Snowball is putting together an army of pets, who are planning on seeking revenge.
Louis C.K voices Max, with Eric Stonestreet voicing Duke. Jenny Slate, Kevin Hart and Ellie Kemper also star in this beloved animation.
Monster-In-Law (Arrives August 1, 2018)
This is by far one of the best and funniest Jennifer Lopez movies. Monster-In-Law is the perfect movie to watch with your mum, your sister or your best friend.
Jane Fonda stars as the mother-in-law of our nightmares. In her eyes, no woman will ever be good enough for her son, so when he proposes to Charlotte (Jennifer Lopez) she does everything in her power to stop the marriage from happening.
Bridget Jones’s Baby (Arrives August 30, 2018)
Bridget made her cinematic return in 2016 and she was welcomed back with open arms. The third installment in the franchise sees Bridget working as a successful news producer. However, everyone’s favourite heroine finds herself single again at 40, and can’t help but feel a little bit miserable about it.
Bridget ends up having a one-night stand with charming American Jack (Patrick Dempsey) and another weeks later with Mark Darcy (Colin Firth.) She is feeling more confident than ever, but things change when she discovers she is pregnant, and has no idea who the father is.
