When it’s the beginning of the weekend, and it’s miserable outside, there is one thing that’s guaranteed to life our spirits at MummyPages HQ – a double dose of baby news!

That is exactly what we have to report this morning, after one Welsh mother and her daughter welcomed babies just hours apart.

Kay Henry, 34, and her 19-year-old daughter Sophie Jenkins have made headlines after both giving birth to baby girls on Thursday night.

According to Wales Online, Sophie and partner Adam welcomed baby Arya at 8.56pm, while Kay and husband Darren went on to welcome little Tiana three hours later, at 12.11am. The tots, who are thriving, were born at the University Hospital of Wales.

Pregnancy was certainly a special time for the pair; as Tiana is Kay’s fourth child, she was able to give plenty of advice to Sophie along her journey. And Sophie is hoping that the shared experiences will continue as their little girls grow up together.

She told the newspaper: “We’ll be doing everything together, it’s so much less daunting this way. It’ll be nice experiencing the same things at the same time, and I know I can go to her for anything, from parenting tips to sharing baby clothes.”

SHARE this story to congratulate these new mums on their amazing coincidence.
