Mum of an 11-week-old baby, Olivia Pozniak was left shocked recently when she was asked to cover up her breastfeeding in a Wetherspoon’s restaurant in Kent recently.

25-year-old Olivia was having breakfast with friends when her son, Louie, got hungry and she proceeded to feed him. She was subsequently approached by a member of staff as she explains: “I was shocked when a member of staff, who claimed to be the manager, came over with a dirty dishcloth – the sort you wipe down the bar and said ‘you’re disturbing the other customers.’”

Olivia however, refused to be humiliated by the member of staff and proceeded to ask the other 15 customers in the restaurant if they were offended by her breastfeeding – which they replied no.

The mum-of-four is now staging a “boob and bottle feed in” tomorrow in which mums are encouraged to feed their children whichever way they choose at the restaurant.

The company have apologised to Olivia saying: “We apologise wholeheartedly to the lady. This should never have happened. Our pubs are welcoming to mothers who wish to breastfeed their children.”
