Cindy Bjerke from North Dakota in the US decided to sell her teen daughter’s tickets to a Katy Perry concert after she disrespected her.
She put the tickets up for sale on a local Facebook garage sale group with the headline: ‘spoiled brat daughter doesn’t deserve these tickets… For sale’. They were snapped up within five minutes.
The mum has been criticised for publicly shaming her daughter and calling her a brat, but she is sticking by her decision and says that a lot of parents feel like they are bullied into a particular style of parenting:
“I think everybody is more scrutinised, and it doesn't matter what side you're on. It's always wrong to somebody.”
The post has since been removed by administrators, as the attention attracted to it was not indicative of buying or selling.
Bjerke refused to give her child’s name or explain what she did to deserve the punishment.
