McFly drummer Harry Judd’s wife Izzy has opened up about their battle to conceive their first child, Lola.

The couple had a tough time when Izzy, who suffers from polycystic ovary syndrome, had a miscarriage in 2014. They then went through IVF treatment in order to conceive Lola, now 16 months.

Now, the couple is expecting their second child, and they were absolutely overjoyed to conceive naturally.

Izzy posted an emotional photo to Instagram of her cradling little Lola, to mark the anniversary of her conception.

She wrote: "Two years ago today... on April 29, our little embryo was put back home and I've carried her every day since. To anyone going through IVF or about to through their transfer, never stop believing that your miracle is waiting for you.

“The beauty of being lucky enough to see Lola as an embryo, watching her being put back home and seeing the light flashing across the screen as she was released, is the closest to magic I've ever been. It wasn't the way @juddymcfly and I thought we would conceive but it was every bit as romantic. Always believe amazing things will happen.”

The Escala violinist announced the exciting news that she was expecting a second baby a month ago, with an adorable photo of little Lola touching her baby bump.

Izzy admitted that the couple couldn’t believe their luck when she conceived naturally, saying it was “a miracle”.

She wrote: “Harry, Lola and I are so happy to share our news. After having IVF to conceive Lola, people used to say to me 'you'll probably fall pregnant naturally next time'.”

“I wondered how it would ever be that simple after all the difficulties we have previously faced. I never believed we would be lucky enough, but whilst writing Dare to Dream, this little miracle happened. I want to give others hope that amazing things can happen.”

Harry was equally overjoyed to share their exciting baby news, posting a cute photo of Lola and Izzy in matching denim dungarees, with Izzy cradling her bump and Lola imitating her stance.

In a previous interview with OK! magazine, Harry said their fertility struggles were worth it in the end when they conceived Lola.

He said: “Everything we went through was worth it because it has brought us to this moment. IVF is just mind-blowing, and such an amazing thing to give us this family.

“You are just floating in a cloud of love. Our wedding day was the best day of my life, and this was a similar feeling, but times 10."
