Former Coronation Street actress Michelle Keegan has spoken out about constantly being asked when she is going to start a family.
The Our Girl star said she is constantly hounded by people about her family plans and she has had enough of intrusive questions.
Michelle, who is 32-years-old, is married to former The Only Way Is Essex star Mark Wright, but she stressed that people have no right to make assumptions about their plans to have a child just because they’re married.
Speaking to The Sun, Michelle expressed her anger, “It's horrible. It's like, 'You're 32. Are you not planning to have a baby yet?'
"People don't know if we're trying. They don't know the background of what's happening. It's no-one else's business,” she said.
There are so many women facing fertility issues and pressuring them to share their baby plans can make those struggles even harder. You never know who could be facing these fertility problems, being famous doesn’t automatically protect you from them.
Michelle added, “In this day and age you shouldn't ask questions like that. I'm asked purely because I'm a woman.”
"But I'm immune to it now - it's like a reaction and as soon as I hear it I brush it off, as it's no-one else's business,” the actress shared.
We couldn’t agree with Michelle more.
People have no right to ask her about her pregnancy plans, famous or not.
