Britney Spears had her first brush with fame as a child star on the Mickey Mouse Club and released her first single at just 16 years old.

Later in life, the excesses of fame caused the star go off the rails and she suffered a public breakdown in 2007, shaving her head in public, just a day after checking out of rehab.

It appears she wants to protect her sons from suffering a similar fate as she’s now redrafting her will to ensure sons Jayden, ten, and Sean, 11.

According to TMZ, Britney wrote her original will before her sons were born, and instructed that her children will inherit her estate and fortune, estimated to be worth hundreds of millions of dollars, at 18.

However, she’s now decided that this is far too young to inherit her fortune and has changed it so they will receive a lump sum each at 18, more money at 25, and access to her entire estate at the age of 35.

Britney is now creating a new trust that will gradually release her fortune to her two sons from her relationship with ex-husband Kevin Federline.

It’s thought the new trust will also reduce the amount of inheritance tax the Toxic singer will pay.

A judge will have to approve Britney’s proposed changes but it’s expected there will be no problems with the new will.

Britney’s young sons have transformed her life and the singer credits them with helping her to recover from anxiety.

She told Marie Claire: “My boys don’t care if everything isn’t perfect, they don’t judge me.

“If anything, when I’m all dressed up they aren’t happy because it usually means I’m going to work”.

The superstar added: “I’ve been through a lot and I’ve got to this point where I’m feeling good about being single. The best relationship I’ve ever had is with my boys”.

However, despite a turbulent love life in the past, Britney has now found love with model Sam Asghari, who she has been dating for a year.
