Olympic gymnast Beth Tweddle reveals her daughters sweet name

Olympic gymnast Beth Tweddle has welcomed her first child into the world. The doting mum gave birth to a healthy baby girl on May 16.

Beth and her husband Andy Allen are overjoyed by the arrival of their daughter.

The new parents decided to call their tiny tot Freya. The name Freya is of Norse origin and means ‘a noble woman.’

Beth couldn’t help but gush about the birth of her baby girl: “Exciting news! Andy and I are delighted to welcome and introduce Freya Allen to the world. Born 16th May, both her and I are doing well. What an unbelievable feeling and we're looking forward to the amazing journey ahead x”

Beth and Andy announced they were expecting their first child in December.

The mum shared a photo of a blackboard that read: "Our greatest gift is due to be unwrapped May 2019."
