After struggling to conceive, and suffering a heartbreaking miscarriage, Samantha Lines was delighted to welcome her baby daughter earlier this month – but there’s another reason why she is so amazed.

Baby Ella-Rose entered the world with two front teeth – a phenomenon said to occur in only one in every 3,000 births.

Samantha, from Warwickshire in the UK, welcomed her little one via C-section on February 6.

After a ‘long and difficult labour’, the 29-year-old awoke to quite a fuss among her team of midwives!

The Sun quotes the new mum, who recalled: “I was completely delirious with all the morphine and other painkillers. Suddenly, a midwife said my baby had two front teeth. It was a complete surprise.”

While Samantha and her partner, Jason Doombs, had no idea how rare a phenomenon it was, they’ve been busy researching the condition as they adjust to life as new parents.

And for Samantha, the first step of this adjustment is getting to grips with breastfeeding a tot with teeth.

“I must admit, I’m nervous about breastfeeding Ella-Rose, but her teeth are only small, so hopefully it won’t be too painful,” she added.
