Practical Parenting

Practical parenting was set up by Sheila O’Malley in response to parents need for training and support. Sheila is a parent herself, she shares her own experience and invites parents to share theirs in a safe non judgemental environment. This creates an opportunity for parents to reflect and an invitation to change.

 

Sheila understands the challenges of parenting and the difference a special supportive relationship can make in the parenting challenges we all face. "Parenting is the hardest job you will ever do and we come into our parenting with no training and support.  When a child feels right they behave right, therefore understanding our children’s feelings is key and parenting education develops our skills. We find better ways of dealing with behaviour and this helps to create an environment where our children can blossom and grow."
