About

In Solamh Parent Child Relationship Clinic we provide three strands of work

1. Clinical: We provide support, counselling and psychotherapy (including Play Therapy and Theraplay) to parents and infants/children, which strengthens and enhances their relationship.  Psychotherapeutic work with parents and infants/children can address a variety of issues including post partum difficulties, attachment problems, coping with autism/aspergers syndrome, persistent crying, feeding/weaning, sleeping challenges and a range of behavioural issues including, challenging behaviour, oppositional defiance disorder and conduct disorder etc.  We also provide support to parents and young children around pre-school behavioural considerations and to families before, during and after the foreign adoption process.

2. Supervision: We provide clinical supervision to psychotherapists and play therapists (including trainees).  

3. Professional Training: We provide a range of diverse and tailored training to professional and corporate groups covering Postive Communication; Positive Parenting; Transactional Analysis; How to maximise quality time with your child when you don't have quantity time; Play Therapy techniques; Attachment disorders and others.  We also provide a Maternity Leave support program that employers can offer to their female staff to ease their transition back to work.  Training can be developed specific to your requirements with advance notice and consultation.
