They welcomed their first child seven months ago, but it’s only in the past few weeks that we found out the name of Cat Deeley and Patrick Kielty’s baby boy, Milo.

Now, for the first time, comedian and presenter Patrick has opened up about how he is dealing with fatherhood.

Appearing on ITV’s This Morning, the 45-year-old revealed that the transition to late nights and nappy-changing didn’t come as easily as one might have expected.

Chatting to show hosts Eamonn Holmes and Ruth Langsford, Patrick said: “It’s been a bit of a shock, but it’s the real world. Milo is now seven months, he is almost looking after himself, which is good.”

“Someone said to me the greatest thing about being a dad later in life is you get up in the night to pee anyway!” he joked, adding, “The poop and the nappies – all of it. I’m doing all of that.”

Patrick and Cat welcomed little Milo back in January, with the So You Think You Can Dance presenter going on to reveal the tot’s name via her gold necklace earlier this month, at the Teen Choice Awards.

She went on to share the very first picture of her son on social media, just days ago.

We couldn’t love this sweet family any more!

SHARE with a fan of the Kieltys who will love Patrick’s latest insight.
