Peter Andre and his wife Emily MacDonagh have said they are really looking forward to Christmas, following a terrifying time last year.

Opening up to OK! Magazine, the couple, who are parents to Amelia, 3, and Theodore, 1, revealed that their youngest son was hospitalised in November 2016, shortly after he was born.

Speaking to the magazine, Emily said that Theo was diagnosed with bronchiolitis, an inflammation in the airways, and had to be rushed into hospital.

"He got bronchiolitis at two weeks old, which is a winter illness in babies. It causes inflammation in the airways so oxygen levels can drop," the mum-of-two said.

"I noticed he was having trouble breathing when he was feeding and at times there would be quite big pauses between his breaths."

Thankfully, the little mite made a full recovery, but neither he nor his family got to enjoy their first Christmas as a family of four.

This year, however, Emily says that they are really looking forward to it, and will even get to celebrate with Peter's other two children, Junior and Princess, who will be at their dad's for the big day.
