Massive congratulations were in order at the start of this year when it was revealed that much-loved singer Katherine Jenkins was to become a mum for the first time.
The mezzo soprano and her husband, Andrew Levitas, are due to become parents for the first time very soon, and it seems that one thing has changed already – her voice.
Talking to Hello! magazine, the 34-year-old said that her voice has benefited from her changing shape, revealing it now has more depth.
''A lot of female singers say their voice is better when they're pregnant and I think that's happening to me. My voice is bigger and more rounded, so I'm loving being pregnant and don't want it to end.''
However, she does have one big concern, and that is that her ‘new’ voice is now scaring her baby, who she previously revealed is a little girl.
''I just hope I am not scaring her with the volume and vibration of my voice. She'll either be in there enjoying my singing or she'll eventually start kicking and saying, 'Be quiet Mummy, you're too loud.''
