Since their wedding in 2011, Prince William and Kate the Duchess of Cambridge, have garnered considerable attention from press and public alike, but it looks like the highly-anticipated arrival of Prince George followed by his younger sister, Princess Charlotte, ultimately cemented the young royal family as ones to watch.
From their choice of pram to their selection of soft toy, the royal couple have sparked many trends since welcoming two children into the life they share together, and it doesn't look like it's going to stop any time soon!
With their eldest child having started nursery school at the beginning of this month, Prince William and his wife Kate have inadvertently sparked considerable interest in Montessori schools, with many parents clamouring to enrol their little ones on account of Prince George's latest milestone.
Speaking to the Press Association, Louise Livingston, director at the Maria Montessori Institute, confirmed that their organisation has been inundated with phone calls from parents who hope their children will follow in the young royal's footsteps.
Commenting on the furore Prince George's enrolment has caused, Louise said: "When it was announced, our phones were ringing off the hook with people asking whether we had space in our nurseries. We're still getting lots of calls from parents. Hopefully Charlotte will go there too."
Paying tribute to the royal couple for helping to pique interest in the Montessori approach to education, Stephen Tommis, chief executive of the Montessori St Nicholas charity said: "I think people with very young children are a little curious."
Reflecting on the impact George's foray into education has had, Stephen continued: "Many people have heard of Montessori but they don't know what it means and they're thinking, 'If the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge have chosen a Montessori nursery, they have for good reason'. It's increased curiosity."
Prince George is currently a student at the Westacre Montessori School in East Walton.
