2018 is truly the year of the royal baby; from April, when Kate gave birth to Prince Louis, then Zara Tindall had baby Lena, and just last week, Meghan and Harry announced that they are expecting their first child next spring.
Now, another member of the royal family sprinkled with some Hollywood star quality has announced the birth of her first baby - and great-grandson of Grace Kelly.
Princess Grace of Monaco's granddaughter Charlotte Casiraghi has given birth to a baby boy, her first child with her fiancé, film producer Dimitri Rassam.
According to reports, the latest addition to Monaco's royal House of Grimaldi - whose name has yet to be revealed was born on Tuesday morning at Princess Grace Hospital - named after Kelly - and weighed in at 7 lbs, 2 oz.
The new royal baby boy, is the seventh grandchild for Princess Caroline (the third born in 2018).
The couple has been together since mutual friends “re-connected them” in Paris for a Christmas dinner in December 2016. They became engaged on a winter ski vacation in March, according to People.
“Charlotte’s very happy,” according to reports. “Dimitri’s a very nice guy and they’ve actually known each other for a while. It’s been a remote friendship of many years,” said a friend of the couple.
Congratulations to them both on their new arrival!
