It has been officially announced that Princess Madeleine of Sweden is moving to the US with her family.

A statement released this morning revealed that the royal family will be moving from London to Florida this fall.

Princess Madeleine, who is seventh-in-line to the throne, will be relocating with her husband Christopher O'Neil, and their three children, Leonore, Nicolas, and baby Adrienne.

The royal family decided that this would be the best time for them to carry through with the decision.

The Swedish Royal Court said in the press release that “the time and opportunity for the United States is good for the family when the children are still in pre-school age.”

Princess Madeleine and her husband recently welcomed their baby daughter Adrienne in March, so moving in the fall will ensure that she is old enough to travel.

It seems the Swedish royals hold a fondness for the States. The family own a summer home in Florida and also lived in New York City in 2010.

The press statement assured readers that the princess will continue her charity work with the World Childhood Foundation.

In fact, New York is where she began working as a projects manager for her mother’s, Queen Silvia, charity, according to People.

“Princess Madeleine has a great commitment to children's rights and will continue working with the World Childhood Foundation and, through the move, be able to focus more on the activities in the United States,” said the Court.

The royals also released a new family portrait featuring its newest adorable member baby Adrienne.

It seems the mum is making the best decision for her and her family a the moment.

And it’s no doubt that Disneyworld may have been a pawn used in winning the kids over.
