The passing of Rachael Bland is one that broke the hearts of the nation. The young mum’s untimely death was nothing but devastating. Over a month has passed since Rachael’s family confirmed she lost her battle with cancer on September 5.

Rachael’s husband Steve honoured his late wife in a touching speech at the award show.

 

“This award would mean the world to her but more than that, she’d be filled with utter pride by the impact You, Me and The Big C has had on others,” he said.

 

“That’s exactly what she wanted to achieve,” the dad added.

Lauren wrote: “Very few words for once other than proud. Proud to be part of this game-changing podcast. Proud to have friends like Deborah and Rachael. Proud to be changing the cancer conversation.”
