Our hearts went out to her when she confirmed the devastating passing of her newborn son last month, and now this star is very bravely opening up on her experience for the first time.
US reality star Danielle Milian, who is also the sister of singer Christina Milian, has spoken about her loss just weeks after son Richie passed away.
Richie was diagnosed with omphalocele – a condition whereby the organs form outside of the body – during Danielle’s pregnancy. Danielle and husband Richard refused to give up hope on Richie, and welcomed him into the world on August 26. Sadly, the precious tot passed away later that night.
Appearing at a lupus charity event yesterday, Danielle told Us Weekly: “Every moment we had with him was a blessing. It’s bittersweet, but it was sweet nonetheless.”
She also insisted that she doesn’t have any regrets about going ahead with the rest of her pregnancy journey after the diagnosis was made.
“You have to figure out what’s the best for you and then don’t let anyone tell you any differently. There’s going to be doctors, family, friends – literally everybody’s going to question what you’re doing – but you know it’s right for yourself and your body,” added the 29-year-old.
Danielle and Richard are also parents to eight-year-old son Daniel and 15-month-old daughter Naomi.
Our thoughts remain with Danielle, Richard and their family.
