They delighted friends and fans alike when they announced that they were expecting twins together last December, and while their minds should be focusing only on the health of their little ones, Ronnie and Sally Wood have had their fair share of criticism to contend with.
Opening up in an interview with the Telegraph this weekend, 38-year-old Sally admitted that it has been difficult to endure criticism over the 30-year age-gap between her and her rocker husband.
“I’m always so staggered at how incredibly rude people feel they can be – about Ronnie, about myself – based purely on physical appearances. I know how to deal with it now, but I’m still amazed,” said the theatre production company owner.
Looking forward to the birth of her twin daughters, Sally added that there will certainly be no shortage of love for these tots.
“What I do know is that these girls are already so absolutely adored. They are so incredibly wanted. And when I take that into account, maybe it would be selfish of us not to have children. They will be loved, and I think that is all that matters,” she said.
It’s a busy time for babies in the Wood family. Not only are Sally and Ronnie expecting their first children together, but the Paint It Black rocker welcomed granddaughter Honey Krissy last September.
