We always knew Carrie was in Miranda's corner!

Ever since Cynthia Nixon (best known as Miranda in Sex and the City) announced her bid for New York governor against the incumbent, Democrat Andrew Cuomo, on March 19, people have been speculating about how her former SATC colleagues feel about the mum-of-three's career change.

Both Kim Cattrall (Samantha) and Kristin Davis (Charlotte) made their opinions on the matter known very quickly.

Kristin responded with overwhelming enthusiasm, writing on Instagram: "I am thrilled to support her and I know that she cares deeply about the issues facing all of us.

"I’m so proud of her and I know she will work tirelessly to create change for all who need representation."

Kim was slightly more tempered in her response, tweeting, "I support and respect any former colleague’s right to make their own career choices."

SJP remained quieter on the subject, initially releasing a cryptic statement to Page Six via her representative.

She said, "Cynthia has been my friend and colleague since we were little girls. I look forward to talking to her about her New York state gubernatorial bid."

Now, though, the Divorce actress has come out in full support of her longtime friend.

"A mother. An activist. An advocate. A fighter. A NY'er. A dear friend. Running for Governor of our great state. My sister on and off screen, you have my love, support and vote," the 53-year-old captioned a post on Insta.

We love seeing Cynthia's former co-stars supporting her.

If she's elected, the 51-year-old will join the likes of Arnold Schwarzenegger, Clint Eastwood, and Ronald Reagan, all of whom have pivoted from Hollywood to the world of politics.
