After Kim Cattrall's Instagram post rejecting Sarah Jessica Parker's condolences, the latter has spoken out about their relationship.

The controversy between the two arose before Kim's brother unexpectedly passed away.

Kim previously told Piers Morgan she'd had a 'toxic relationship' with her Sex and the City co-stars in the wake of the series' third film being cancelled. As well, Kim felt she'd had unfair blame placed upon her for not wanting to reprise her role as Samantha.

"I never talked about it, except [to say] that some of us were disappointed [about the movie not happening]," Sarah exclusively told People.

"But I never responded to the conversation Kim had with Piers Morgan, where she said things that were really hurtful about me," the mum-of-three continued.

"We had this experience and it was amazing, and nothing will ever be like it. We had a connection with an audience, and we had a connection with the city and with this crew, and we got to tell these crazy stories with each other. So I don’t want to mess with that."

The 52-year-old went on to say that Kim is irreplaceable as the iconic vixen Samantha Jones.

"I couldn’t imagine anyone else playing that part," Sarah said, "So there was no fight; it was completely fabricated because I actually never responded.

"And I won’t, because she needed to say what she needed to say, and that is her privilege."

Sarah did not directly respond to Kim Cattrall's accusations that the Hocus Pocus actress '[exploited] our tragedy in order to restore your ‘nice girl’ persona'.
