Strictly Come Dancing pro Kevin Clifton has gotten candid about his dream partnership for the upcoming next series of the hugely popular dance show.
During an interview on BBC Radio Solent, the dancer claimed that his ideal partner would be none other than legendary comedienne Dawn French;
"For some reason, I don't know why, I just like the idea of it," he shared. "I'd really love to do Strictly with Dawn French. I don't know why - I think she would be wicked."
The 36-year-old won the last series of Strictly with girlfriend Stacey Dooley, and will soon be reunited with the fellow professionals to begin work on the 2019 series.
Kevin shared that the pros converse over which celebrity they hope to be matched with;
"We do have a WhatsApp group, the pros do have a WhatsApp group, so when the celebs start getting announced, usually throughout August, we are all on the group with each other saying 'she'd be good for you' or 'he'd be good for you'."
"So then we try and pair everybody up by the time they are all announced on our WhatsApp group," he added. "We're all sort of saying, 'I think it's going to be this'."
He also revealed that the celebrities themselves do have some sway in the matter; "I believe the celebs get to talk to the producers a little bit to say 'I would like someone like this'," he emphasised.
"Some of them might prefer a more stricter approach or more soft. I believe there's some sort of conversation between the producers and celebs but the pros - no."
The star is currently touring the UK with Rock of Ages, but will soon be wrapping up the tour before Strictly begins.
The professionals will be reuniting to practice the group routines before they're partnered up with celebrities, according to Dianne Buswell.
Time will tell whether Dawn French will respond to Kevin's hint and join the show, but we'd love to see it happen.
