Any mum out there who has any experience with breastfeeding will know that the urge to pump can happen at any time – and it’s no different for the celebs!
This has been proven in the most hilarious fashion, by none other than actress Sienna Miller.
The 35-year-old revealed this week that she ‘lactated all over’ fellow actor Mark Walhberg the first time she met him!
Sienna, who welcomed daughter Marlowe with ex-boyfriend Tom Sturridge in 2012, recounted the laugh-out-loud story while sharing the couch with Wahlberg, on The Graham Norton Show.
Recalling the moment they first met, at the 2013 Golden Globes, she laughed: “I lactated all over him.
“I met him just six months after having a baby and I was still breastfeeding, but what he doesn’t know is that when he very sweetly gave me a big hug, I lactated all over him!”
Ever the joker, Wahlberg responded: “I had no idea. But it is the Golden Globes, so anything can happen!”
How many people did you accidentally ‘lactate all over’, mums?!
Sienna tends to keep her personal life out of the public eye, but she has previously spoken candidly about motherhood – in particular, Marlowe’s dramatic arrival into the world.
In an interview with Time Out magazine, the mum-of-one once admitted that her birth ‘went all wrong’.
“I had my heart set on this natural birth and I ended up, after 27 hours, having an emergency C-section,” she revealed.
When the birth was over, however – like many other mums – Sienna was suddenly hit by the realisation that the journey was only just beginning.
“I spent so much time thinking about the birth and not realising that you take a baby home at the end of it,” she admitted.
“It’s a shock, of course it is, and some people find it really easy – but, for me, I found it really hard.”
Sienna and Marlowe’s dad, Tom, were together for four years before they announced their split, in 2015. The pair have managed to keep their relationship amicable, however, and their circumstances are helped by the fact that they live only a few blocks apart.
In an interview with Allure magazine, she revealed: “We do bedtime every day. We felt like as much togetherness as possible would be ideal, and fortunately, we really love each other and are best friends, and so that works.”
