Simon Cowell’s multi-million pound house was raided last Friday as he and his girlfriend Lauren Silverman slept upstairs. The couple’s 21-month-old son, Eric, was also in the house at the time.
The raid took place at 2.20am, and Simon had to be woken by his security guard who informed him of the crime.
More than £100,000 worth of cash and jewellery was taken, but the X Factor boss is, obviously, more concerned that someone managed to get into his house and the safety of his son, than the money.
Speaking to The Sun, the star admits that the first thing he and Lauren did after being woken was check on their baby to make sure he was ok.
“It was nerve-racking. Lauren was woken up with me and we checked on Eric. That was the first thing we did, to make sure he was ok."
“Apart from the fact someone broke into my house and stole my stuff, which is scary, it could have been worse. Thankfully no one was hurt," he added.

Another of Simon’s security guards, M’Bathonha Mendes, reportedly retrieved a number of items belonging to the 56-year-old back after spotting a “shadowy figure” leaving the area.
In an interview with the Mirror, he said: “{A person] was trying to get something out of the bag and I ran up to him, put my hand on his shoulder and said, ‘wait a second’."
“He jumped and then dropped the bag and ran. Fear is my friend.”
