If you’re a Simply Red fan, today is your day, because the band has just announced an amazing piece of news: they are planning a sure-to-be epic gig in Dublin this coming November.

25 years after the release and incredible success of their album Stars, the band have decided to bring the album on the road for a very special night of musical celebration.

The ‘Stars’ gig will take place in Dublin’s 3Arena on Friday, 11th November. Split into two halves, the first part of the show will see the band performing the entire Stars album in running order; the second part, meanwhile, will feature the rest of the Simply Red repertoire.

Released back in 1991, Stars was the best-selling UK album for two consecutive years – and lead singer Mick Hucknell is delighted to be marking the milestone in such style.

“I could never have imagined that Stars would have the impact it did. It was a truly magical time. Now, looking on after 25 years, it seems only fitting to celebrate by performing the album in the original running order,” said the Mancunian.

Tickets cost €55.65 including booking fee, and will go on sale on Wednesday, 15th June via Ticketmaster.
