It is a fear that mums all over the world face in the years before they start their family, and one celebrity has opened up on the heartbreak she experienced after being told that she may never have children.
Former Spice Girls star and mother-of-two Emma Bunton made the admission during an interview for AOL’s original new series, Being Mum.
The star, who is engaged to fellow pop star Jade Jones, revealed that doctors told her at the age of just 25 that she may never become a mother.
“It broke my heart, it literally broke my heart and I was frightened,” the 39-year-old said, candidly.
Emma and Jade went on to welcome sons Beau and Tate, and the singer admitted that she finding out she was expecting was “the best feeling in the world”.
With the boys now seven and four, Emma revealed that she and Jade would love to add to their brood.
“Jade and I were talking just before I came to see you, and I think I would love to have another baby, but I really don’t mind what sex. Obviously three boys would be amazing. A little girl would be a change and I think I’d feel like I was starting all over again,” she said.
Emma and Jade have been engaged for five years, and the star recently admitted that they have yet to get around to organising their big day.
