Earlier this month news emerged that One Direction singer Louis Tomlinson is expecting his first child with his friend Briana Jungwirth and, according to Closer, his mum Johannah would prefer they had waited.
"Johannah thinks this is great news for Louis, even though she would rather they had dated properly and waited a while," an insider told the magazine.
However, the source added that Louis’ mum believes fatherhood will help ground him, particularly with his incredibly demanding lifestyle.
"She's seen how demanding and unreal the whole 1D lifestyle is. She thinks being a dad will help Louis settle down and ground him, make him think about a future beyond the band, and have the chance to do something meaningful with his life."
And while she was initially shocked at the news, Johannah, who has midwifery experience, is said to have offered Briana plenty of help once the baby arrives.
It was also revealed by the source that Briana’s family are making sure Louis knows that he is expected to be a hands-on dad, although the 23-year-old is said to be very excited about the prospect of fatherhood.
