Having welcomed a second son into the life he shares with Colombian singer Shakira at the beginning of the year, the doting dad seemed keen to offer an insight into family life with legions of fans and followers this week.
Uploading an adorable snap of three-year-old Milan perched on his dad's knee while protectively cradling his five-month-old brother Sasha, Gerard melted the hearts of Twitter users around the world.
In an even sweeter move, the 28-year-old football captioned the gorgeous shot with the words: "Els meus dos mites" meaning "My two legends."
And it looks like little Milan may have inherited some of his mum's star quality if this snap is anything to go by!
While baby Sasha stared off into this distance and attentive dad Gerard ignored the camera, little Milan stared directly into the lens with the tiniest of smiles, suggesting he'd be more than comfortable with any paparazzi he may encounter as the son of a world-famous singer and sports star.
