According to breaking news reports, the son of singer and musician Nick Cave has sadly lost his life after a tragic accident in Brighton last night.
Arthur Cave, the 15-year-old son of the Bad Seeds singer, is believed to have fallen off a cliff in the East Sussex area last night.
Emergency services were called to Ovingdean Gap in Brighton, where Arthur was found with life-threatening injuries after falling from the top of the 60-foot path onto a coastal path below.
Arthur was airlifted to hospital, but was sadly pronounced dead shortly after.
Confirming the news, a Sussex Police spokeswoman said: “A 15-year-old boy who was found with life-threatening injuries on the underpass of Ovingdean Gap, having fallen from the cliff above, has sadly died in hospital.”
She added that the death is now being dealt with by the coroner’s office.
The Cave family issued a statement following their son’s death, describing Arthur as a “beautiful, happy, loving boy”.
“We ask that we be given the privacy our family needs to grieve at this difficult time,” they added.
