We have heard of some incredible, record-breaking birth stories in our time, and this latest one from the UK is nothing short of amazing.

Two sisters have made headlines after welcoming their babies within just minutes of each other – having found out on the exact same day that they were expecting.

Sharing their story with MailOnline.com, Joanne and Rebecca Hurt revealed how they couldn’t believe it when, last December 10, they were separately told that they were expecting.

Despite the fact that there was six days between their due dates, the sisters from Sheffield went into labour on the same day – and their little ones arrived within just 13 minutes of one another.

Both women welcomed daughters – Isabelle and Phoebe – and their mother, Pauline, was lucky enough to be able to cut the cord for both of her granddaughters!

Speaking to the Mail, new mum Joanne said the incredible series of events was particularly fitting for her and sister Rebecca.

“We’ve both always been really close and done everything together - I guess why would our pregnancies to be any different?” she said.
