Prince George starts school today, and our hearts can barely take the cuteness of this morning’s event.

The four-year-old is attending Thomas’ Battersea, a private primary school situated around four miles from his home in Kensington Palace.

The Duke and Duchess’ choice was announced earlier this year, by the Palace.

“Their Royal Highnesses are delighted to have found a school where they are confident George will have a happy and successful start to his education,” an official statement read.

Meanwhile, the school’s headmaster, Ben Thomas, said they were ‘honoured and delighted’ to be counting the little prince among their student cohort.

“We greatly look forward to welcoming him and all of our new pupils to the school in September,” he said, following the big reveal.

A single term at Thomas’ Battersea, described as a ‘busy, thriving and purposeful’ school, costs just over an eye-watering £6K.

The school has previously been applauded for its ‘no best friends’ policy, which encourages students to be friends with everyone rather than choose favourites.

Prince George will be accompanied by security as he travels to school each day.

George’s big day comes at a very exciting time for the royals, with the Palace announcing that Duchess Kate is expecting her third child.

“The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are very pleased to announce that the Duchess of Cambridge is expecting their third child,” the official statement read.

“The Queen and members of both families are delighted with the news.”

It was also revealed that the Duchess is, once again, suffering with Hyperemesis gravidarum. As a result, forthcoming royal engagements have been cancelled.

Congrats to Prince George on his big day – we bet he will make lots of friends!
