We’re only mere weeks away from the birth of Kate Middleton’s and Prince William’s second child, so naturally there is plenty of talk about whether it’s going to be a princess or a prince.

While rumour is rife that the Duchess of Cambridge is expecting a girl – with sources claiming she was recently spotted shopping for clothes fit for a princess – it seems that the early reports are all wrong.

A source close to Kensington Palace has said this week that Kate and William have chosen not to find out the gender of their second child, instead opting for a surprise when he or she enters the world.

The Duchess is reportedly due to give birth on April 25, at the Lindo Wing of St Mary’s Hospital in London.

While previous reports had detailed how the Palace was upping security for the Duchess ahead of the birth, it has emerged that a special security unit will also be monitoring media presence at the hospital when Kate gives birth.

This is such an exciting time for the family, especially for little Prince George, who is about to become a big brother. Rest assured that we will be keeping you updated!
