Congratulations are in order this week for Olympic swimmer Michael Phelps and his model fiancée Nicole Johnson, who have announced that they are expecting their first child together.
The 30-year-old Olympic star shared the news to Instagram, posting a photo of himself and Nicole holding up a tiny pair of ‘Michael Phelps’ branded swimming togs.
Revealing the news and the gender of their unborn child, Michael wrote: “We found out eight weeks ago we were expecting…Today we’re over 12 weeks and it looks like we’re having a boy!!!”
Nicole, meanwhile, shared the news with her own social media following, adding that she and Michael “couldn’t be happier”.
After dating on an off since 2007, Michael and Nicole got engaged in February of this year. They broke the news by sharing a romantic snap to Instagram, with Nicole showing off her impressive diamond ring, and Michael announcing that “she said yes”.
