Months after revealing that singer and close friend Taylor Swift would be godmother to her second child, actress Jaime King took to her social media channels to share the first precious moments between the two.
Jaime, who welcomed son Leo Thames with husband Kyle Newman last week, posted a beautiful photo to Instagram last night, showing Taylor gazing down at her new godson.
“My loves meet. Baby boy Leo Thames and his godmother = Bliss,” wrote the mother-of-two, beside the touching shot.
Taylor took to her own social media channels to mark the special occasion, posting the cutest photo of little Leo’s tiny fingers wrapped around her own.
“Your little hand’s wrapped around my finger and it’s so quiet in the world tonight,” wrote the Bad Blood singer.
Jaime recently opened up about why she chose Taylor for the special role in her son’s life, saying it came down to a combination of her ‘thoughtfulness, kindness, authenticity’.
“She’s so uninhibited in her giving – the presents she gives to her fans, she wraps every single one – she paints the stuff. It’s all her. She’s so clear with what it is that she wants to do, yet at the same time she leaves herself so vulnerable. It is really powerful to me,” the former Hart of Dixie star told ELLE.
