With a music career and a stint on one of Britain’s biggest reality TV shows to her name, we can imagine that balancing work and motherhood is challenging for Alesha Dixon.

The 36-year-old, who is mum to 19-month-old daughter Azura Sienna, has opened up on the difficulties of being a working mum, during an interview with OK! magazine.

The Britain’s Got Talent judge told the magazine: “Sleep deprivation is the hardest thing. Everything else has been wonderful.”

Alesha, who is currently promoting the latest series of the talent show, added that while she adores being a mum to little Azura, we shouldn’t be expecting the pitter-patter of baby feet again anytime soon.

On the subject of expanding her brood with partner Azuka Ononye, the former Mis-Teeq singer added: “When you’re exhausted, it’s hard to think of a second baby, but we’ll see! Maybe after a couple of years.”

Touching on the subject of working mum’s guilt, Alesha said that she tries to keep her focus on paving a career that she loves, which is an idea that she very much wants her own daughter to grow up with and strive to achieve for herself.

“I don’t feel guilty because if I’m away she’s either with Azuka or my mum, and often she’s in her home and she’s happy. I’m going to work to do something I love and she’ll realise that as she gets older and it’ll hopefully inspire her,” she added.

We're sure many other mums out there can identify with Alesha's comments.
