Fashion Police! presenter Melissa Rivers logged into famous mum Joan’s Twitter account today to post a moving statement, remembering her mother and thanking her fans.
“Today marks one year since my mother passed. This was the year of firsts: first holidays, first birthdays, first everythings without mom, without grandma,” she wrote.
Melissa, who is mum to son Cooper, added: “While it’s been difficult, I’ve been amazed by the outpouring of love and overwhelming kindness we’ve received from family, friends and people whose lives were touched by the woman they knew as Joan – a woman we all miss so very much.”
The statement comes just hours after Joan’s family shared a series of photos documenting the late comedienne’s career and life.
Joan passed away last September due to complications of a throat surgery procedure gone wrong. The 81-year-old was put into an induced coma, with daughter Melissa later turning off her ventilator.
