While the stars were celebrating in the aftermath of the Oscars, presenter and reality star Kelly Osbourne was having a nightmare of a week.

Having been dragged into a racism row over comments made on Fashion Police about model Zendaya Coleman’s dreadlocks, the 30-year-old announced this weekend that she was quitting the show for good.

No stranger to controversy herself, Kelly’s mum Sharon took to her social media channels this evening to send her support for her daughter, praising her for her actions.

In a message that has already caused plenty of whispers on the internet, the former X Factor judge tweeted: “I am so proud of you. You can never be bought. You always wear your heart on your sleeve”. She also added the hashtag ‘proud to be your mum’.

Kelly was outraged when viewers of the E! show, on which she has appeared for five years, associated her with co-host Giuliana Rancic’s comment that she thought Zendaya’s hair would 'smell like weed’.

Sharon is always such a supportive parent, we’re sure it is much-appreciated by Kelly, especially now!
