The lyrics and themes of his songs are pretty innovative, so we’re not surprised to hear that this star’s uniqueness has extended into fatherhood.
Singer Macklemore, who confirmed the birth of daughter Sloane earlier this month, has shed light on his interesting approach to parenting.
The Thrift Shop star told MTV News: “I try to take her on a walk in the morning; get some coffee, walk back, put in a mile-and-a-half or something like that. I feel like she really likes Snoop Dogg. Like, ‘Gin and Juice’, for some reason, just calms her down.”
“I’ve used it a couple of times and it’s, like, worked every time!” the star added.
The star, real name Ben Haggerty, went on to describe Sloane as “a big baby” as he shared his thoughts on fatherhood so far.
“She a 10-pound baby, and with a big-a** head and I was like, ‘This is, this is my child.’ It’s this unconditional love that happens instantaneously,” he said.
Ben and long-term partner Tricia welcomed baby Sloane back in May, but waited for the release of the star’s latest song – a dedication to his daughter – to confirm the news.
Sharing the very first photo of Sloane, Tricia went on to reveal that the pair tied the knot in June.
