Strictly fever is officially in the air following the show’s launch show last night. The cast of 2018 made their red carpet debut and they certainly looked the part. The celebrities have already been introduced to the world of fake tan, sequins and lycra and they certainly managed to pull of the dazzling look.
Stars including activist Katie Piper, YouTube star Joe Sugg and cricketer Graeme Swann strutted their stuff down the red carpet at the lavish event.

Former champion and Holby City star Joe McFadden gushed about the diverse line up. He told BBC News: “There is someone off Casualty, there is a presenter, there's a Paralympian... it ticks every box for me."
This year’s line up has caused quite some controversy online, with many people claiming it isn’t up to it’s usual standard. However, we think the line up is one of the best due to it’s diversity.

Last year, Jonnie Peacock made Strictly history by being the first paralympian to participate in the competition. This year, paralympic silver medalist Lauren Steadman will take part in the show.
The double World Champion Paratriathlete was born without her lower right arm. Speaking of her role in the popular dance show, she said: “I’m a little bit starstruck that I’m actually going to be learning and dancing surrounded by such amazing and inspiring people! I’ve always wanted to take part in the show, but now it’s a reality I’m a little nervous!” she shared.
We cannot wait for the cast of 2018 to put on their dancing shoes and hit the Strictly dance floor. The Strictly Come Dancing launch show will air on BBC One on Saturday, September 8, 2018.
